Obituary of Hugh M. McNeill

McNEILL-the death of Hugh M. McNeill of 1399 Old Black River Rd., husband of Regina M. (Richard) McNeill, occurred after a courageous battle with cancer at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Saturday, March 4, 2006. Mr. McNeill was born in Saint John, a son of the late Arthur J. and Elizabeth M. (Hatfield) McNeill. He had been employed as a machinist with T.S. Simms for 32 years and was a member of the Brushworkers Union Local 701. He had been an active member of Stella Maris Parish. He was predeceased by a brother, Joseph. Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Michael W. (Tanya) of Winnipeg, and Hugh M. (Heather) of Rothesay; two daughters, Carol-Ann Wilson (Harrison) of Quispamsis, and Mary McKiel (Paul) of Saint John; one brother, Daniel (Theresa) of Saint John; six grandchildren, Kevin, Ashley, Darcie, Justin, Benjamin, and Emily; and several nieces and nephews. Resting at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo St., with visiting on Sunday and Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Stella Maris Church on Tuesday morning at eleven o'clock. Interment will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
