Obituary of Thomas Paul Brideau
The death of Thomas Paul Brideau of Rocmaura Nursing Home, Saint John, N.B., formerly of Lakewood Ave., husband of the late Suzanne Marie (Noel) Brideau occurred on Sunday October 8, 2006, at his residence. Born in Tracadie, September 2, 1906, he was a son of the late Hypolite and Adenise (St. Pierre) Brideau. He is survived by four Sons Paul (Barb) Brideau of Riverview, N.B., Thomas "Babe" (Helen) Brideau of Quispamsis, N.B., William (Kay) Brideau of Sydney Australia, and Francis (Rosalie) Brideau of Nepean, Ont., one Daughter Elizabeth Asbridge (Bill) of Saint John, Thirteen Grandchildren, Seventeen Great Grandchildren, one Great Great Grandson, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by Brothers Anthony, Avila, Vincent, Domice, Edward, and Alphonse, Sisters Yvonne, Emily and Geraldine. Thomas loved the outdoors, nature, and was a avid fisherman. In his younger years he owned and operated Brideau's Grocery Store. Then his love for music lead him to where he operated Brideau's Dance Hall. He was a devoted Catholic and a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus. Resting at fitzpatrick's Funeral Home 100 Waterloo Street, Saint John, N.B., with visiting on Tuesday, October 10th, from 7 to 9 pm, Wednesday, October 11th, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated from St. Joachim's Church on Thursday morning at eleven o'clock. Interment to take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Donations to the St. Joachim's Church Building Fund, or donors choice would be appreciated by the family. Members of the Msgr. F.M. Lockary Assembly of the 4th Degree knights of Columbus of Saint John will be holding prayers at the funeral Home on Wednesday at 3:45 pm.
