Obituary of Mary G. McCann

McCANN-the death of Mary G. McCann occurred at Rocmaura Nursing Home, her special home since 1998, on Tuesday, January 16, 2007. Mary was born in Saint John, a daughter of the late Thomas and Agnes (McGarvey) McCann, and was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She had always taken an active part in all the activities at Rocmaura. She was predeceased by two brothers, James Thomas and Francis Patrick McCann. Mary was the natural mother of Debra Craig of Quispamsis, and Dianne Tremblay of Mississauga. She is also survived by two nieces, Elizabeth Hachey (Ivan) of Rothesay, and Sandra McCann of Quispamsis; 6 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and several grandnieces and grandnephews. Resting at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo St., with visiting on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception on Friday morning at twelve o'clock. Following cremation, interment will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Rocmaura Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
