Obituary of Mary M. Ferris

FERRIS-the death of Mary M. Ferris, widow of William J. Ferris, occurred at Rocmaura Nursing Home on Saturday, January 20, 2007. Mrs. Ferris was born in Saint John, a daughter of the late William and Caroline (Harris) Bridgeo. She was a lifelong member of the Cathedral Catholic Women's League. Mary was predeceased by a brother, Robert. She is survived by four sons, John (Beth) of Quispamsis, Thomas (Anne) of Waverley, N.S., James (Jennifer) of Concord, Mass., and Brian of Rothesay; two daughters, Mary Best (Steven) of Townsend, Mass., and Dianne Hodge (Ken) of Quispamsis; one brother, Dr. William Bridgeo (Margaret) of Halifax; 20 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Resting at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo St., with visiting on Sunday from 7 to 9 and on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception on Tuesday morning at twelve o'clock. Interment will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
