Obituary of Mary T. Saab

SAAB-the death of Mary T. "Mae" Saab (92) of 14 King Square South, widow of Frank Saab, occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Friday, January 19, 2007. Mae was born in Rusticoville, P.E.I. of Acadian ancestry and came to Saint John in 1943 after marrying Frank. She was a well-known businesswoman for many years. Mae will be remembered for her high energy and her love of life. She is survived by her daughter, Geraldine "Geri" Rich (Dennis) of Ottawa, Ont.; her four grandchildren (who affectionately called her "Grammy Go Go") John, Tony, Rosalyn, and Paul Rich; her four great-grandchildren, Amanda and Robin Joly, and Jacob and Bailey Rich; and several nieces and nephews. Resting at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo St., with visiting on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Service will be held in Fitzpatrick's Chapel on Wednesday morning at eleven o'clock. Following cremation, interment will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donation to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
