Obituary of George A. Cusack

CUSACK-the death of George A. Cusack of 175 Daniel Ave., husband of Sara W. "Sally" (Kean) Cusack, occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Monday, January 22, 2007. George was born in Saint John, a son of the late John and Genevieve (Brophy) Cusack, and had graduated from St. Vincent's Boys High School in 1945. He had been employed with Irving Oil Refinery for thirty years and had been secretary-treasurer of the Oil, Chemical, and Atomic Workers Local 691. He had been a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was predeceased by a son, Christopher, and a brother, John. Besides his wife, he is survived by three sons, Dr. John (Debbie) of Lafayette, In., and Danny (Debbie), and Andrew (Elizabeth) both of Saint John; two daughters, Sara Cusack (David Colwell)and Angela Donahue (Jim), both of Saint John; one brother, Rev. Paul Cusack, C.P., of Toronto; three sisters, Mary Cool (Larry) of Deux Montagne, Quebec, Elizabeth Donovan (Larry) of Sussex, and Miss Genevieve Cusack of Saint John; 15 grandchildren, Rebecca, David, Nicholas, Sarah, Meghan, Jamie, Laura, Sadie, Luke, Rose, Jennifer, Katelyn, Heather, Chrissy, and Grace; two great-grandchildren, Julianna and Kaley; and several nieces and nephews. Resting at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo St., with visiting on Wednesday from 7 to 9 and on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Peter's Church on Friday morning at eleven o'clock. Interment will take place in Holy Cross Cemetery.
