Obituary of George R. Creary

The death of George R. Creary of 26 Mount Pleasant Ct., husband of Frances A. (Thompson) Creary, occurred unexpectedly at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Monday, November 3, 2003. Mr. Creary was born in Saint John, a son of the late Edward A. and Mary E. (Trifts) Creary.He had attended local schools and was a graduate of Saint John Vocational School. He had been employed with his father in Creary's Furniture Store and later as an auto-salesman. He was active in the affairs of the Liberal Party. He was pre-deceased by a brother, Peter. Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Sean (Sarah) of Hampton, and Andrew (Jen Gould) of Toronto; two brothers, Frederick (Susan) of Quispamsis, and Paul (Beth) of Saint John; two sisters, Joanne Merzetti (Robert) of Saint John, and Marilyn Donovan (Douglas) of Sussex; one aunt, Kay Creary of Saint John; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins, including special nephew, Cameron. Resting at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo St., with visiting on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Peter's Church on Thursday morning at eleven o'clock. Interment will take place in SI. Joseph's Cemetery.
