Obituary of Stephen J. Branch

BRANCH-the death of Stephen J. "Steve" Branch of 33 Northumberland Ave. husband of the late Lea (Duguay) Branch, occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Wednesday, May 30, 2007. Steve was born in Trudel, N.B., a son of the late Richard and Adeline (Godin) Branch. He is survived by five brothers, Dick (Ernestine Duguay), Hugh (Evelyn Lewis), Frank (Eveline Theriault), Yvon (Odette Blanchard), and Robert (Ginette Hache); seven sisters, Vicky (the late Marcel Sormany), Mildred (the late Jean-Baptiste Ferland), Marie (the late Jimmy Baltazar), Ina (John Sherry), Regie (George Michaud), Viola (Edouard Albert), and Edith (Yvon Theriault); two sisters-in-law, Leona (Albert) and Yolande (James)., He was predeceased by three brothers, Albert, James, and Johnny; and two sisters, Estelle and Hazel (James). He had great affection for the family of his late wife (the Duguay's of the St. Isidore area), his several nieces (a very special Edmonde). nephews, cousins, and friends (especially the ones in Saint John whom he considered "his family of adoption"). He was so thankful for his great life and the joys brought upon by his work (retired from the Telegraph-Journal) and his rewarding times as a volunteer in both the French and English organizations of his beloved city of Saint John. Resting at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo St., with visiting on Sunday from 7 to 9. Visiting at Maison Funeraire La Colombe, Tracadie-Sheila, on Tuesday from 1 to 3 P.M. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Isidore Church on Tuesday afternoon at four o'clock.Respecting Steve's wishes, his body will be cremated and interred with his wife in St. Isidore Cemetery.
