Obituary of Karl D. Brown

The death of Karl D. Brown of Kennebec Manor, husband of Stella (Cormier-Doucet), occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Monday, November 24, 2003. Mr. Brown was born in Bathurst, a son of the late David and Elizabeth (Chiasson) Brown, and had resided in Saint John for over fifty years where he had been employed as a C.P.R. Trucker. He had served with the Royal Canadian Army during the Second World War and was a former member of Royal Canadian Legion Branch 14. Besides his wife, he is survived by four sons, Wayne and Gary, both of Saint John, Kevin of Montreal, and Michael (Diane) of Miscou Island; two daughters, Eileen Brown of Sussex, and Sharon Whipple of Cody's; one sister, Lena Ward of Miscou Island; 12 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Following cremation, Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception on Thursday morning at twelve o'clock.
