Obituary of Frank E. Smith

The death of Frank E. Smith of Loch Lomond Villa, husband of Mona Y. (Gall) Smith, occurred at his residence on Friday, November 28, 2003. Mr. Smith was born in the Barbados, West Indies, a son of the late Joseph W. and Rosalie (Gill) Smith, and had resided in Saint John since 1962 where he had been employed as a foreman at the Irving Oil Refinery for over thirty years. He was pre-deceased by five brothers, Lionel, Maurice, Neville, Eikins, and Jackson; and three sisters, Rita, Doris, and Lillian.He was also pre-deceased by a son, Ian Dwight Smith." Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, Christopher of Calgary; three daughters, Gail Maloney (Allan) of St. Stephen, Catherine Brown (Dale) of Toronto, and Deborah Head (Cecil) of Saint John; one brother, Harold of Baltimore; one sister, Eileen Field of Ontario; six grandchildren, David and Maria Maloney of Fredericton, Megan and Ryan Brown of Toronto, and Jamie Smith and Angela Head, both of Saint John; and several nieces and nephews. Resting at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo St., where service will be held on Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock. Interment will take place in Fernhill Cemetery. Visiting on Monday from 7 to 9. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Alzheimer Society of Saint John would be appreciated.
