Obituary of P. Morton Grover

GROVER-it is with great sadness that we announce the death of P. Morton "Mort" Grover of Mount Hebron, N.B. at St. Joseph's Hospital, Saint John, on Monday, October 15, 2007. Mort was born in Kentville, N.S., on May 14, 1931, a son of the late Percy and Nellie (Morton) Grover. He is survived by his wife, Mary (Ewing) of Mount Hebron; son Brian (Pamela) of Moncton; and daughters Kim of Gainesville, Florida, and Susan Hill (Jamie) of Mount Hebron. He is also survived by his sisters Emily Bigelow of Kentville, and Shirley Stewart of Vancouver; brothers Harold (Freda) of Lakeville, N.S., and Dr. Downey (Carol) of Avonport, N.S.; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mort served with the R.C.M.P. from June 1950 retiring as a Staff Sergeant in September 1977. After retirement he managed the Internal Audit Dept. of Irving Oil in Saint John and worked for some time with the Federal Business Development Bank. Mort spent his last years enjoying life and working with the horses on the farm in Mount Hebron. Cremation has taken place and interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Lakeville, N.S. at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society; St. Joseph's Hospital Cam Unit; or a charity of the donor's choice.
