Obituary of Edward L. MacKenney

MacKENNEY-the death of Edward L. MacKenney of 30 Sussex Drive, husband of Alta (Rideout) MacKenney, occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Sunday, October 21, 2007. Mr. MacKenney was born in Saint John, a son of the late Cornelius and Mary C. (Ryan) MacKenney. He was employed in the food-service industry all his life and had owned and operated Mac's Meat Market for many years. He served overseas with the Royal Canadian Air Force during the Second World War. He was predeceased by three brothers, Malcolm r., George C., and J. Calvin MacKenney. He is survived by one brother, Donald MacKenney of Saint John; two sisters, Florence Lawrence of Calgary, and Lois Slattery of Saint John; and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews. Memorial Service will be held at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo St., on Thursday afternoon at three o'clock. Interment will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
