Obituary of Wayne G. Thompson

The death of Wayne G. 'Bucky' Thompson of 61 Eldersley Ave., husband of Jeannine M. (Robichaud) Thompson, occurred unexpectedly at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Saturday, December 20, 2003. Mr. Thompson was born in Saint John, a son of the late William G. and Christina J. (Damery) Thompson. He had been employed as a mechanic with Forterm. He was an avid stockcar enthusiast and had been active in Saint John Youth Minor Hockey. Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, Gregory of Saint John; two daughters, Michelle of Saint John, and Patti of Tarantum, P.E.I.; one brother, Jack of Quispamsis; four sisters, Judy Nickerson of Quispamsis, Sally Ritchie (Murray) of Hampton, Jane Thompson of Quispamsis, and Martha Saunders (Lorne) of Quispamsis; one grandson, Brendan McNeill; one aunt, Bette Paterson of Quispamsis; and several nieces and nephews. Resting at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo St., with visiting on Sunday from 7 to 9 and on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph's Church on Tuesday morning at ten o'clock. Interment will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
