Obituary of Charles R. Anningson
The death of Charles R. Anningson of 14 Roxbury Drive, husband of Ann Marie (Johnston) Anningson, occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Saturday, December 20, 2003. Mr. Anningson was born in Sussex, a son of Mrs. Jean E. (McGaghey-Anningson) Burnham and the late Harold M. Anningson, and had resided the greater part of his life in Saint John, where he had been employed as a cook with Canada Coast Guard and on Irving tankers. He had served with the R.C.A.F. and was a member of the River Valley Seniors Club and the Buffalo Club. For the past several years he had taken care of his mother. He was pre-deceased by an infant daughter. Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, Kevin Ronald of Saint John; one daughter, Cheryl Lynn Anningson of Saint John; two sisters, Geraldine Childs (Joseph) and Rae Ruttle (Wayne), both of Saint John; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Resting at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo St., with visiting on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Service will be held at Fitzpatrick's Chapel on Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock, followed by cremation. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
