Dawn Watkin

Obituary of Dawn Anita Watkin

It is with deep sorrow that the family announces the sudden passing of Dawn Watkin of Pocologan at Saint John Regional Hospital, in her 46th year. Precious daughter of Brian and Joan (Young) Watkin. Beloved sister of Lynne (nee Watkin) and Kevin Fries. Cherished Auntie of Amanda (Vincent) and Sasha (Jason), and great-nephew Rowan. She will be sadly missed by her many cousins, aunts, and uncles in both Ontario and England, and many friends, colleagues, and students who loved her dearly. Dawn will be forever remembered for her kind and generous heart who gave selflessly to help others. Her playful spirit always brought joy and laughter to all who knew her. Dawn possessed a genuine love of nature and respect for all living things. A resource teacher at Fundy High School in St. George, NB, she graduated from the University of Guelph in 1993, and obtained her teaching degree in Canterbury, England. Dawn later completed her Masters Degree in Counseling at the University of New Brunswick. A special thank you to the staff of Saint John Regional Hospital for their care and compassion, and sincere appreciation to Greg Chambers and countless other friends and teachers who have showed their support during this difficult time. A memorial service and celebration of life will take place at Fundy High Theatre, St. George, on Friday August 8th at 2:00 p.m. Internment of her cremated remains to follow at a later date.
