Obituary of Mary Josephine ISAAC

ISAAC- Mary Josephine (Tibbet)- At the Saint John Regional Hospital on August 13, 2008, Mary Josephine Isaac, wife of the late Francis Isaac. Born in Devon, N.B. on March 31, 1916, she was a daughter of the late Neif and Catherine (George) Tibbet.A loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend, she is survived by two daughters, Delores Watt, of Saint John and Christina Tobias (Michael) of Fredericton, four sons Thomas, Kenneth, and Tim, all of Saint John, and Francis (Marlyn) of Quispamsis; 15 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren; sister Madeline of Ontario; brothers Thomas (Pennsylvania), Joseph (Ontario), friends Rita Conway and Maureen McQuade of Saint John. Mary was predeceased by her brother Fred Tibbet, sister Ida Birtwistle, son-in-law Jack Watt, daughter-in-law Barbara Isaac, sisters-in-law Mary and Sarah Debly. After her husband died, Mary took over the family business (Isaac's Texaco) on Douglas Avenue. After retirement, she occasionally worked with her daughter, Tina, and son-in-law, Mike, at their M&T Deli in Fredericton. Mary loved to travel, especially to Bar Harbor. She was a fantastic cook and gracious hostess who was never happier than when she was either cooking, or teaching her children and grandchildren to cook Lebanese food. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. In accordance with Mary's wishes there will be no visitation at the Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Pius X Church on Tuesday August 19, 2008, at twelve o'clock. In lieu of flowers donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
