Obituary of W. John Elliott

ELLIOTT-the death of W. John Elliott of Loch Lomond Villa occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Friday, February 6, 2009. John was born in Saint John, a son of the late Walter J. "Dates" and Charlotte O. (Logan) Elliott. He was a graduate of St. Vincent's Boys High School and had served in the Royal Canadian Air Force for over twenty years. Following his retirement from the air force he was employed with the Canadian Blood Services, Saint John Toyota, and Elliott Bros. He was an avid baseball, hockey, and harness-racing fan. He is survived by four brothers, Fred (Eileen) of Brighton, Mich., Father Bill, O.M.I., Douglas, and Donald (Nancy), all of Saint John; three nieces, Tracey, Meaghan, and Nicole; two nephews, Kevin (Carolyn) and Robb; and one grandnephew, Matheson. Resting at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo St., with visiting on Sunday and Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph's Church on Tuesday morning at eleven o'clock. Interment will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Joseph's Parish Community Centre would be appreciated.
