Obituary of Mary Eva Saunders

AUNDERS- The death of Mary Eva Saunders, of the Loch Lomond Villa, occurred at her residence on Friday May 8, 2009.She lived the last few years with the disease Aphasia. Born in Saint John, she was a daughter of the late Cyril and Eva (Bourque) Lunney. Mary Eva was a Secretary for many years for various companies in Saint John, after her retirement she enjoyed spending time at the family cottage in Chapel Grove, sewing, walking her dog and spending time with family.She was predeceased by her parents, one brother, Cyril Lunney, and sisters Marie McCann,and Gertrude Lunney. She is survived by her son,Brodie Saunders, of Halifax,daughter Chelsie Saunders, of Toronto, and William Saunders and their children Jacqueline(Wayne) Gogan, of Saint John,Bill(Rhonda)Saunders, of Oakville,Ont, Robert(Tracey)Saunders, of Saint John, two brothers,Bernard(Nancy)Lunney, of Quispamsis,Danny(Carol)Lunney, of Riverview,N.B., four sisters, Clara(Eugene)Graham, of Saint John, Edna(Ken) Gormley, of Summerville,N.B.,Pat(Paul) McIntyre,of Saint John, Sister Hilda Lunney, Sisters of Service, Toronto, four grandchildren,Brett,Tyler,Tori,and Taylor and several nieces and nephews. Resting at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo St; from where the funeral will be held on Tuesday at St. Peter's Church, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 noon. Following Mass, Cremation will take place, and interment will take place in St. Bridget's cemetery,Chapel Grove at a later date.Visiting on Monday 2to4 and 7to9pm.
