Obituary of Sister Frances C. Wolfe

WOFLE-the death of Sister Frances C. Wolfe (Sr. Agnetis) occurred at Ruth Ross Residence on Monday, June 8, 2009. Sister was born in Carmel, Sask., a daughter of the late Peter and Theresa (Huber) Wolfe, and entered the Sisters of Charity of the Immaculate Conception on July 16, 1935. Sister taught elementary school for 43 tears. Her first teaching assignment was at St. Joseph's School, Winnipeg. She later taught in the following places throughout her career; St. Francis of Assisi and Sacred Heart Schools in Vancouver, St. Patrick's Orphanage, Prince Albert, Sask. and Holdfast, Sask., and in Bath School, Bath, N.B. Sister moved to Burnaby, B.C. in 1987 and resided at St. Michael's Convent where she did library work at St. Michael's School. Sister Frances moved to Edmonton in 1996 where she served as Eucharistic Minister to seniors. She had resided at Ruth Ross Residence since 2000. She was predeceased by four brothers, Mike, Louis, Joseph, and John Wolfe; and four sisters, Celeste Wolfe, Mary Konner, Ann Barr, and Theresa Wolfe. She is survived by three brothers, Peter Wolfe of Humbolt, Sask., Raymond Wolfe of Nanaimo, B.C., and Gilbert Wolfe of Calgary; a sister, Henrietta Lee of East Wenatchee, Wash.; and several nieces and nephews. Resting at St. Vincent's Convent, 31 Cliff St., with visiting on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Vincent's Chapel on Thursday morning at ten o'clock. Interment will take place in the Sisters of Charity Plot in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Evening Prayer Vigil will be held on Wednesday evening at seven o'clock.
