Obituary of J. Wendall Brown
The death of J. Wendall Brown of 85 Turnbull Ct. occurred unexpectedly at his residence on Saturday, February 7, 2004. Mr. Brown was born in Moncton, a son of the late Harold and Lillian (Arsenault) Brown, and had resided the greater part of his life in Saint John. He had been employed as Chief Stationary Engineer at the Canada Coast Guard Base until his retirement a number of years ago. He served overseas with the Royal Canadian Navy during the Second World War and was a member of Royal Canadian Legion Branch 69. He is survived by one sister, Marjorie Gallant (Joseph) of Saint John; and several nieces and nephews. Resting at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo St., with visiting on Sunday from 7 to 9 and on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Pius X Church on Tuesday morning at eleven o'clock. Interment will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Members of the Royal Canadian Legion will hold a Memorial Service in Monday evening at seven o'clock.
