Obituary of James J. Mailman

MAILMAN-the death of James J. Mailman of 166 Prince William St. occurred unexpectedly at his residence on Tuesday, September 1, 2009. James was born in Saint John, a son of Agnes (Manuel) Mailman of Saint John, and the late Robert Mailman. He had been an member of the Labourers Union Local 900 and was an avid Montreal Canadiens fan and fisherman. Besides his mother, he is survived by his companion and best friend, Mary Soucy; two sons, Josh and James Joseph "J.J.", both of Saint John; two daughters, Brandy and Brittany, both of Saint John; seven brothers, Bobby (Brenda), John (Dianne), Angus (Sandra), Wayne (Violet), Harold, David (Nicole), and Richard (Samantha), all of Saint John; seven sisters, Carol Reid (the late Robert), Pauline Carson (Fred), Lena Pelletier (Gerald), Lucy Pearman (Bobby), Brenda Hudson, and Debbie Finlay (Tony), a ll of Saint John, and Mary Daigle (Gilles) of Baie Ste. Anne, N.B.; two grandchildren, Brooke and Taylor; and several nieces and nephews. Resting at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo St., with visiting on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception on Saturday morning at ten o'clock. Interment will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
