Obituary of M. M. Gertrude Gibson
GIBSON-the death of Gertrude Gibson, widow of Frederick Gibson, occurred at Rocmaura Nursing Home on Tuesday, October 6, 2009. Mrs. Gibson was born in Saint John, a daughter of the late Joseph and Genevieve (Desroches) Kristiansen. She had been employed at Rocmaura Nursing Home until her retirement a number of years ago. She was predeceased by a son, Paul. She is survived by a son, Gordon (Joy) of Saint John; four daughters, Louise Sullivan of Halifax, Elaine Gallant (Michael) of Saint John, Linda Gledhill (Stephen) of Quispamsis, and Marina Gibson of Kitchener; one brother, Ralph Kristiansen (Donna) of Edmonton; two sisters, Elsie McIntyre (Jack) of Saint John; and Hjordis Driscoll (William) of Halifax; 8 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren. Resting at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo St., with visiting on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9, Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception on Friday at 12:05 P.M.
