Obituary of M. Kathleen Connolly
CONNOLLY-the death of M. Kathleen "Kay" Connolly, widow of J. Raymond Connolly, occurred at Rocmaura Nursing Home on Sunday, December 6, 2009. Mrs. Connolly was born in Saint John, a daughter of the late Frank and Anna (Dunlop) Hurley. She had resided in Belmont during the 1970's and 80's before returning to the city. She was a member of the Catholic Women's League and the Seagulls Seniors Club. She was predeceased by her son, Raymond; and two daughters, Anne Lemoine and Jane Anne Connolly. She is survived by two sons, Daniel (Anne) and Terrence, both of Saint John; three daughters, Patricia Jones of Cambridge-Narrows, Susan Carroll (Michael) of Kentville, N.S., and Kelly Campbell (John) of Saint John; two sisters, Gertrude Coleman-Bench (Don) of Sun City Center, Fla., and Anna Cuming of Mill Cove;16 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Resting at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo St., with visiting on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception on Wednesday afternoon at 12:05. Interment will take place in St. Augustine's Cemetery, Westfield. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation or Rocmaura Foundation Inc. would be appreciated.
