Obituary of Doreen Mary Breau

The death of Doreen Mary Breau of 656 Brunswick Drive, widow of Raymond Joseph Breau, occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Sunday, March 21, 2004. Mrs. Breau was born in Tracadie, a daughter of the late William and Exilda (Mallet) McWilliams, and had resided in Saint John for over fifty years. She had operated Doreen's Beauty Salon in Tracadie and was employed with the New Brunswick Telephone Company in Saint John. Doreen enjoyed life to the fullest, spending all her time with family, grandchildren, and friends who will remember her always. She was a longtime resident of the North End of Saint John and attended the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception faithfully for forty-seven years. She was pre-deceased by three brothers, Johnny "Cone", Roderick, and Wesley McWilliams; and one sister, Mabel Hachey. She is survived by two sons, Kenneth (Katrina) and William (Andrea) Breau, both of St. Albert, Alberta; five daughters, Audrey (Sterling) Estey and Debbie (Michael) Maxell, both of Quispamsis, and Mary, Geraldine, and Judith Breau, all of Saint John; two brothers, Murray McWilliams of Ontario, and Lloyd (Rosemai) McWilliams of Tracadie; one sister, Audrey (Pat) Blanchard of Dieppe; nine grandchildren, Bettina, Tyler , Erica, and Chantal Breau, all of St. Albert, and Christina-Marie and Joseph Maxwell, and Douglas, Lauren, and Alexandra Estey, all of Quispamsis; and several nieces and nephews. Resting at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo St., with visiting on Monday from 7 to 9 and on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception on Wednesday morning at twelve o'clock. Interment will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Palliative Care Unit of the Saint John Regional Hospital or the Canadian Diabetes Association.
