Obituary of Pauline J. Fewer

FEWER,Pauline J.-it is with great sadness the family of Pauline Fewer announces her passing on Thursday, January 6, 2011. Pauline was born July 26, 1925 in Debec, N.B., a daughter of the late Morley and Jean(Atkinson) Fleming. Pauline was predeceased by her beloved husband, Frank Fewer; and two brothers, Archie and Marvin Fleming. She is survived by her two daughters, Carmela Scaplen (Graeme), and Frances Cook (Chris), both of Saint John; her son, Brian Fewer (Marron) of Maple Ridge, B.C.; eight grandchildren, Leah Scaplen Burns (Brad), Derek Scaplen (Charlene), Curtis Scaplen, Nick Cook (Angelica), and Pat Cook, all of Saint John, Susan Belsey (Grant), Sean Fewer, and Craig Fewer, all of Maple Ridge; and five great-grandchildren. In addition Pauline leaves her brother, Jay Fleming of Toronto; special sister-in-law, Winnifred Fleming of Bath, N.B.; and several nieces and nephews. Pauline was very involved with her church (Stella Maris) and her community (IODE and charities). She will always be remembered for her strong family values, kind heart, and thoughtfulness. She was well-known for her wonderful cooking skills and she taught her daughters well. Pauline was synonymous with Brentwood Tower in Millidgeville, having acquired the land, managed the construction and rental operation, then was instrumental in it becoming a landmark condominium, one of the first in New Brunswick. She was an amazing mentor, mom, grammy, and great-grammy. The grandchildren were the light of her life. She will be sadly missed and never forgotten by many. There will be no visitation by request of the family. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Pius X Church on Friday morning, January 7, 2011 at eleven o'clock. Interment will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donation to St. John & St. Stephen Nursing Home, the Multiple Sclerosis Society, or the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
