Obituary of Rita B. Gautreau

The death of Rita B. Gautreau, formerly of 59 Parkhill Drive, Saint John, occurred at Villa Providence, Shediac, on Thursday, April 14, 2011. Miss Gautreau was born in Saint John on Dec. 31, 1926, a daughter of the late Capt. William and Angele (Boudreau) Gautreau. She had been the Supervisor of the Dietary Dept. of the Lancaster D.V.A. Hospital until her retirement in 1981. She loved to spend her summers at her cottage in Shediac. She was predeceased by four brothers, Euclide, Allan, Gerard, and Hector Gautreau; and four sisters, Mary Gautreau, Emma Gautreau, Corinne Noel, and Doris Goguen. She is survived by several nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews. Resting at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo St., with visiting on Monday from 7 to 9. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrted at St. Ann's Church on Tuesday morning at eleven o'clock. Interment will take place in Holy Cross Cemetery.
