Obituary of F. Marie Brown

BROWN, F. MARIE-the death of Frances Marie Brown of East Saint John, widow of Blair S. Brown, occurred unexpectedly at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Sunday, September 4, 2011. Marie was born in Saint John on January 12, 1936, a daughter of the late J. Francis and Margaret I.(Dillon) Sweeney. She had been employed as an R.N.A. at the Lancaster D.V.A. Hospital and the Saint John Regional Hospital until her retirement. She was predeceased by her son, Gerard J. F. Brown in 2010. She is survived by two daughters, Heather (Stewart) Totten, and Kim Brown (Terry Carson), both of Saint John; one brother, Robert J.(Noreen) Sweeney of Orono, Ont.; one sister, Carol Ann (Tony) Arora of Markham, Ont.; and three granddaughters, Stephanie and Samantha Totten, and Kristina Brown, all of Saint John. Resting at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo St., with visiting on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Stella Maris Church on Wednesday at noon hour. Following cremation interment will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association; the N.B. Lung Association; or the Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
