Obituary of Evelyn F. Morrell

The death of Evelyn Frances Morrell, widow of Daniel A. Morrell, peacefully at her residence, Terrace Court, Rocmaura Nursing Home, surrounded by love and caring on Monday, May 17, 2004. Mrs. Morrell was born in Saint John, a daughter of the late William and Elizabeth (Whelan-Daley) Fitzpatrick. She was pre-deceased by two brothers, Joseph and John Fitzpatrick. She is survived by one daughter, Dolores Morrell and her husband Orval Thompson of Toronto; two sisters, Mary Elizabeth Fitzpatrick and Irene Foley, both of Saint John; and several nieces and nephews. Resting at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo St., with visiting on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. John the Baptist Church on Thursday morning at eleven o'clock. Interment will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Flowers gratefully declinded. For those who wish, donations may be made in Evelyn's name to the "Evelyn Morrell in Trust for Terrace Court", Rocmaura Nursing Home, 10 Parks St., Saint John, N.B., E2K 4P1. Special thanks to Evelyn's Extended Family at Rocmaura, and a very grateful thank-you to Sharon Arsenault, Mary Goddard, and Joan McGrattan for their love during her stay and especially the last seven days of Evelyn's life. Evelyn, Dolores, and Orval are very grateful to Sister Antonia for her prayers and her Christmas notes. Following the interment, a reception will be held at Rocmaura Club Room, 10 Parks St., from 1 to 4 P.M. A special invitation is extended to all the staff of Rocmaura Nursing Home.
