Obituary of Louise A. Williston

The death of Mrs. Louise A. Williston, widow of Ernest D. Williston, occurred at Kennebec Manor on Sunday, May 16, 2004. Mrs. Williston was born in Saint John, a daughter of the late Frederick and Mary (Oxford) Bond. She was a graduate of Saint John High School. She had worked as a R.N.A. at St. Vincent's Convent.She received her degree in Social Work from Dalhousie University in 1984 and worked for the Department of Social Services in the Child Protection Program. She was an active member of her church and worked tirelessly to promote the growing good in her community and will be sadly missed. She was pre-deceased by a son, Daniel Williston; her brother, Arthur Bond; and her sister, Florence Sadleir. She is survived by two sons, Richard F. and David E., both of Vancouver; one daughter, Carolyn Williston of Toronto; 5 grandchildren, including Richard Blizzard of Saint John; 5 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Resting at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo St., where service will be held on Friday morning at ten o'clock. Visiting on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Interment will take place in Cedar Hill Ext. Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
