Obituary of M. Doris Saulnier

<p>The death of M. Doris Saulnier occurred unexpectedly on Sunday, January 29, 2012 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John on Dec. 20, 1922, she was a daughter of the late Louis and Dina (Power) LeBlanc. She had been employed with Calp's and Sears and was an avid card-player, quilter, knitter, and gardener and loved clamming and fishing. She was predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Bernadin Saulnier, in 2005; her children, Richard, Thomas, and Rosemma; her brothers, Charles, Peter, Gerald, and LeRoy LeBlanc and her sisters, Marjorie Brideau and Rena Saulnier. She is survived by her son, Norbert "Bob" (Margaret) Saulnier of Central Greenwich; three daughters, Louise (Michael) Cave and Carol (Edward) Quinn both of Saint John, and Joan(Robert) Collins of Rothesay; one brother, Raymond (Charlotte) LeBlanc of Saint John; one sister, Geraldine McDonald of Prince of Wales; two sisters-in-law, Marguerite and Jeannette Saulnier, both of Nova Scotia;11 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.</p> <p>Visiting was held at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo St., on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception on Thursday, February 2, 2012 at 12:05 PM. Interment took place in St. Joseph's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Heart &amp; Stroke Foundation; Romero House-Soup Kitchen; or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.</p>
