Obituary of Angeline Elaine Mary Stephen

<p>Angeline Elaine Mary Stephen (nee Saab), died at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Friday, March 30, 2012, following a 2 and a half year stay at Rocmaura Nursing Home. She was 92 years old, born on March 28, 1920, to parents Nagea Tobias and Peter Ferris Saab. In her early years, she owned &amp; operated Angie&rsquo;s Luncheon on Prince Edward St. in the east end of the city for about 13 1/2 years. Angeline married Paul Angus Clarence Stephen, son of Eva (nee George) &amp; Sir Louis Stephen, in the fall of 1946 at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception with reception at the Admiral Beatty Hotel. Angeline is survived by four children: Marsha, married to Thomas Zed, Mark Stephen, Karl Stephen &amp; Kevin Stephen married to Daphne Churchill. She has 4 grandchildren: Nadia Zed married to Peter O&rsquo; Sullivan, T. Jordan Zed, Lucia &amp; Brooke Stephen.</p> <p>At age 65, Angeline owned and operated with her sister Norma, Royale Fashions, a downtown lingerie, uniform and accessory boutique for about 11 1/2 years. She was a member of the Canadian Lebanon Association and the Marion Helpers.</p> <p>Angeline was the last surviving member of the Saab family, predeceased by her brothers Philip, married to the late Annie Wakim, Frank Saab married to the late Mae Blanchard, Joseph whose wife Bonnie survives him, and sister Norma married to George Moses, both deceased.</p> <p>Surviving members of the family of Angie&rsquo;s late husband Paul who died in December, 1967 are: Geraldine Stephen, Leona (nee Brun), wife of the late Ralph Stephen; Pusser (Yvette), wife of the late Louis Stephen; Lillian, wife of the late Dr. Wesley Stephen and Michael &amp; Beatrice Stephen living in Toronto. Deceased members of her husband Paul&rsquo;s family, are: Barbara Stephen; Madeline and Eugene Zed; Joseph &amp; Mable &amp; second wife, Theresa&nbsp; Stephen; Frederick (Bud) Stephen survived by his wife Vera, and Peter &amp; Anne Stephen. Angeline is survived by several nieces &amp; nephews.</p> <p>Many sincere and heartfelt thanks to St. Joseph&rsquo;s Hospital and to Rocmaura Nursing home who so lovingly and carefully took care of our Mom.</p> <p>Angie was a strong life force totally devoted to her family to the very end. In our grief, we take consolation in knowing that she is with our father again.</p> <p>Resting at <strong>Fitzpatrick&rsquo;s Funeral Home</strong>, 100 Waterloo Street, Saint John, NB (634-1965), with visiting on Sunday from 7- 9 PM and Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception on Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at 12:05 PM, celebrated by her nephew, Fr. Peter Stephen. Interment to take place at St. Joseph&rsquo;s Cemetery.
