Obituary of Lawrence Walter LeRoy

<p>Larry LeRoy passed away on Tuesday, July 31, 2012, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born July 1, 1917, he was a son of the late John L. LeRoy and Sarah "Sadie" Parlee (Doherty).</p> <p>Larry started his business in 1943 and together with his employees and customers built the family run companies that still operate today as LeRoy&rsquo;s Heating Services Ltd. And Park Fuels Ltd. Larry was a lifelong supporter of his community and in earlier years was involved in both Little League Baseball and Minor Hockey. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Canadian Oil Heat Association.</p> <p>He is survived by his current wife, Doris Cullinan (Arsenault) and her family, as well as his sons, John "Jack" (Nancy), Michael (Jacqueline), Thomas (Hilary Read); daughters, Jeannette Glaspy, Marilyn LeRoy, Anne-Marie LeRoy (Lorne Hillcoat), and Christine Cipolla (Dino), several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.</p> <p>He was predeceased by his first wife, Mary Josephine (Whitaker); sisters, Marian Ellis, Rose Gallagher, Irma Chaisson, and Yvonne Miller; brothers, Randolph LeRoy, Kenneth LeRoy, Tilford LeRoy, Ronald Parlee, David Parlee, and son-in-law, Michael Glaspy.</p> <p>Resting at <strong>Fitzpatrick&rsquo;s Funeral Home</strong>, 100 Waterloo Street, Saint John (634-1965) with visiting on Friday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception on Saturday, August 4, 2012 at 11:00 AM. Interment to take place at St. Joseph&rsquo;s Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Cathedral Fund, the Canadian Cancer Society or to a charity of the donor&rsquo;s choice.</p>
