Obituary of Adeline Theresa Duffley

The death of Adeline Theresa Duffley occurred peacefully at her home in Golden Grove on Thursday, July 8, 2004, surrounded by family. Born in Cody's, N.B., Oct. 8, 1930, Adeline was the daughter of the late Joseph and Anabelle (Maskell) Viger. She was pre-deceased by a sister, Florence Sheriff; three brothers, Charles, Stanley, and Gerard Viger (in infancy); and a grand-daughter, Rebecca Duffley. She is survived by her husband, Philip; two daughters, Theresa (Scott) Upton of Kingston, Ont., and Carmel of Saint John; five sons, Blaine (Anne) of Ottawa, Daniel (Kathryn) of Saint John, Philip (Florbela) and Peter, both of Halifax, and Harrison of Saint John; four sisters, Norma Pougnet of Saint John, Mary Jo (Wayne) Leclair of Huntsville, Ont., Shirley (John) Holtz of Napanee, Ont., and Anne Marie (Robert) Teskey of Ottawa; three brothers, Alphonsus (Virginia) and George (Elsie) both of Cole's Island, N.B., and Frederick (Lynn) of Pickering, Ont.; ten grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Resting at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo St., with visiting on Saturday and Sunday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Ann's Church on Monday morning at ten o'clock. Interment will take place in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Golden Grove. In lieu of flowers, donations to Divine Mercy Catholic School, St. Joachim's Building Fund, the Canadian Cancer Society, or the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
