Obituary of Louise G. Griffin

<p>Surrounded by the love of her six children and their families on January 8, 2013, after a period of declining health, our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and favorite aunt, has finally been granted her wish to join our father, Charles James Griffin, her parents, William and Mary (McCarthy) Black, and her sister, Mary. Left to mourn her are children; Gary (MaryAnne), Colleen (Richard), David (Cheryl), Dennis (Janice), Michael (Debbie) and Glenn (Anne). Her nephews, Darryl Harris and wife, Kay will also dearly miss her. Mom&rsquo;s thirteen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren will remember her fondly.</p> <p>Mom was a long time resident of Red Head Road and most recently resided at the Loch Lomond Villa. She was an active member of Stella Maris Parish for many years and was a valued employee of Woolco and Canadian Tire before her retirement.</p> <p>Resting at Fitzpatrick&rsquo;s Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo Street, Saint John, (634-1965) with visiting on Thursday, from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, January 11, 2013 from Stella Maris Church, 201 Bayside Drive at 12:05 PM, with a reception to follow in the church hall. Pallbearers will be grandsons; Patrick, Michael, Andrew, Chris, Aaron Griffin and Jason Thompson. A private family interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to a charity of the donor&rsquo;s choice.</p> <p>The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff of the Saint John Regional Hospital, St. Joseph&rsquo;s Hospital, the Villa and the Village. Your outstanding support allowed our mother to complete her final journey peacefully.</p>
