Obituary of Raymond Joseph Roy

<p>The family of Raymond Roy, husband of 35 years to Claudine Comeau-Roy, wishes to announce his passing on Saturday, August 31, 2013 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Tremblay Settlement, NB, he was the youngest son of the late Stanislas and Anna (Arseneau) Roy. Raymond worked at the Port on the waterfront, owned a taxi business, and invested in real estate in his working years. In his early years, Raymond taught karate and judo, and was also a Cub Leader. He was a very faithful Catholic who served as an usher in many parishes throughout Saint John. He played guitar, and was a great singer and yodeler.</p> <p>Besides his wife, Raymond is survived by three sons: Paul (Pat), Michael (Tammy), and Brian (Theresa); grandchildren: Nikki (Troy), Paul Jr., Debbie (Carl), Sara (Brian), Mikey (Haley), Ashley, Brian Jr. (Shelley), Steven (Melissa), and Jason (Echo); great-grandchildren: Jasmine, Logan, Mariah, Emma Grace, Emily, Ava, Danielle, and Hannah; Raymond&rsquo;s daughters, Linda and Lori; his sister, Lina Comeau; extended family: Susan Roy, Lisa Ratcliffe and Gilles Prevost; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by many brothers and sisters.</p> <p>Resting at <strong>Fitzpatrick&rsquo;s Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo Street, 634-1965,</strong> with visiting on Wednesday, September 4, 2013 from 12:00 noon to 2:00 PM, at which time a memorial service will take place at Fitzpatrick&rsquo;s Funeral Home Chapel.
