Obituary of Arlene Duplessis

<p>It is with heavy hearts that we announce the death of Arlene Duplessis of Saint John. After a courageous battle with cancer, Arlene passed away on Thursday September 5, 2013 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. She was born in Saint John on May 11, 1947 and was a daughter of the late Cleveland and Lila Brown. Arlene graduated from Vocational High School. She was employed with Comcare for 18 years and also worked as a private caregiver for many years. She enjoyed all types of music, loved to take long walks, had a love for the water and fishing, animals, reading &nbsp;but most importantly the love of her family. She is survived by daughters, Lisa and Tina Duplessis; three sons, Stanley (Darlene), Kevin (Bernice) and Rex Duplessis and her special loved ones; Carrie, James, Douglas, Jeffrey and Karen. Also survived by her sister Doreen, &nbsp;grandchildren, Shanice, Antonio, April, Alyssa, Rex, Kevin, Emma, Shanice, Lea and great grandchildren; Madison and Brooklyn as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her sister, Ruth and great grandchildren, Ellie and Connor.</p> <p>Resting at <strong>Fitzpatrick&rsquo;s Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo Street, </strong>Saint John (634-1965) with visiting on Sunday and Monday from 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday September 10, 2013 at 11:00am in the chapel followed by interment in St. Joseph&rsquo;s Cemetery.
