Obituary of Keith Joseph Frederick Jacquard

JACQUARD-the death of Keith Joseph Frederick Jacquard of Churchland Rd. occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Saturday, September 18, 2004. Mr. Jacquard was born in Yarmouth, N.S. on January 2, 1924, a son of the late Frank and Minnie (Scott) Jacquard. He was a pipefitter by trade and a member of Local 213 until his retirement. He had served in the Merchant Marine during the Second World War and was a member of Jervis Bay Memorial Branch 53 Royal Canadian Legion. He was an avid salmon fisherman and hunter. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He was pre-deceased by one son, Keith Ralph Jacquard; one daughter, Linda Lee Goguen; one grandson; and one granddaughter. He leaves his wife of 62 years, Audrey Jean (Kelley) Jacquard; his five remaining children, two sons, Gary Jacquard (Janice) of Saint John, and Mark Jacquard (Joanne) of Edmonton, Alb.; three daughters, Nancy Basque (Gerry) of Saint John, Becky Cyr (Laurent) of Saint John, and Kathy Cyr (Mark) of Saint John; one daughter-in-law, Claudette Jacquard of Saint John; one son-in-law, Donald 'Ducky' Goguen of Saint John; 17 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews in Yarmouth and Boston. Resting at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo St., where service will be held on Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock. Following cremation, interment will take place in Ocean View Memorial Gardens.
