Richard, Delbert J. … It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Delbert Richard of Saint John, NB, which occurred on Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at Bobby’s Hospice. Born in Saint Charles, NB, he was a son of the late Thomas and Melina (Babin) Richard. Delbert was employed with Irving Pulp and Paper for 37 years as a heavy equipment operator until his retirement. He is survived by five sisters, Bernice Brideau (Bill), Annette Garfield (Laurie) both of Saint John, Evelyn Kelly (Gerry) of Ontario, Viola Cousin (Hector) of Quebec and Germaine Kelly (Don) of Ontario; three brothers, Conrad Richard of British Columbia, Gerry Richard of Ontario, Joe Richard of Quebec; several cousins, nieces, nephews, sister in laws, Marguerite Richard and Jeannine Richard and one aunt, Leona Richard. Besides his parents he was predeceased by three sisters, Delma, Rose and Doris; two brothers, Dolphe and Emile, infant siblings, Cecile, Edouard and Patrick. Resting at Fitzpatrick’s Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo Street, Saint John, NB with visiting on Friday July 18, 2014 from 10:00am-11:30am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at the Assumption Church at 12:00 noon and interment in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
