Obituary of Alvin L. G. Arbeau

The death of Alvin L. G. Arbeau of 3 Peters St. occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Sunday, October 31, 2004. Mr. Arbeau was born in Saint John, a son of the late Gordon 'Gibbey' and Marjorie (Doak) Arbeau. He had served with the Canadian Army in Korea as a peacekeeper. He was a licensed electrician at the Dry Dock and was nicknamed 'Sparky' by his co-workers. In his spare time Alvin loved to ride his wheelchair-scooter around town and do crossword puzzles. He was pre-deceased by a brother, Robert Arbeau of St. Martin's. He is survived by his caregiver and companion, Susan Huestis-Toner, loving friends Mark Toner, and Robert and Joanie Craft, all of Saint john; his daughter, Kimberley Marie Arbeau, McAllen, Texas; and his two sons, Allen Arbeau and Carey Gibson, also of McAllen, Texas. Resting at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo St., with visiting on Tuesday from 7 to 9. Service will be held in Fitzpatrick's Chapel on Wednesday afternoon at two o'clock. Interment will take place in the Field of Honour in Cedar Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the C.N.I.B. would be appreciated.
