Obituary of M. Patricia Barry

The death of Mrs. M. Patricia Barry of Rocmaura Nursing Home, widow of J. William Barry, occurred at her residence on Saturday, November 20, 2004. Mrs. Barry was born in Saint John, a daughter of the late Patrick J. and Frances Augusta (Boyce) Fitzpatrick, and was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She had been a licensed funeral director for a number of years. She was a former member of the Catholic Women's League and the Legion of Mary. She was pre-deceased by two brothers, John M. and Hugh G. Fitzpatrick; and one sister, A. Camilla 'Babe' Scott. She is survived by four sons, William (Patricia) of Dartmouth, Patrick (Martha) of Kentville, N.S., Timothy (Jean) of Moncton, and Mark (Rose) of Quispamsis; three daughters, Julia Crawford (William) of Dartmouth, Ann Barry of Saint John, and Eileen Linton (Stephen) of Dalhousie, N.B.; 12 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews. Resting at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo St., with visiting on Sunday from 7 to 9 and on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception on Tuesday morning at twelve o'clock. Interment will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Because of allergies in the family, no flowers or scents please. Donations to Rocmaura Foundation; the Alzheimer Society of Saint John; or the C.N.I.B. would be appreciated.
