Obituary of Wilfred Thomas Head

Wilfred "Miff" Thomas Head passed away on October 29, 2015 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on November 21, 1931, in Pictou, Nova Scotia he was a son of the late Samuel and Christina (Whitty) Head. Miff loved being outdoors hunting and spending time at his camp. He worked for MacKay Forest Products for many years before retiring. Surviving are his extended family Karen (Allan) MacNeill, Summerville; Bonnie (Tony) Lake, Hampton; Doreen (Steven) Totten, Grove Hill and Chuck Stewart, Upham; many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his long-time companion, Marjorie Stewart, brothers, Vernon, Robert, William, and Fulton; sisters, Leona Purdy, Margaret "Peg" Danells and Marion Stewart. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visitation on Monday, November 2 from 2-8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at 12 pm from St. Ann’s Church, 144 Simpson Street, with interment to take place in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
