Obituary of C. Anne Foley

It is with great sadness that the family of C. Anne Foley announce her passing, which occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on November 16, 2015 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Saint John on January 27, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Mary (Wallace) Sparks and beloved wife of 39 years to Mark Foley. Anne was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who always put her family first. She worked for 22 years at NB Tel as a telephone operator. She took advantage of early retirement but after a few years returned to work for another 15 years in corporate research. In addition to her husband, Mark, Anne will be missed by her son, Andrew Foley (Tracy Hanson); granddaughters, Morgan and Madison Foley; sisters-in-law, Marie Ann Ferguson (Doonie) and Carol Ann Foley; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Mary and Samuel; brothers, Wilfred and David Sparks; brothers-in-law, Frank and Paul Foley; and sisters-in-law, Anne Foley and Joanne Sparks. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424) with visiting on Thursday, November 19, 2015 from 2-8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Peter’s Church, 50 Clarendon Street, Saint John, on Friday, November 20, 2015 at 11:00 am. Interment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances made to St. Peter’s Church Building Fund would be appreciated by the family.
