Obituary of Donald John Lamontagne

Lamontagne, Donald John – The death of Donald J. Lamontagne, beloved husband of the late Marie Bertha (St. Onge) Lamontagne, occurred on Wednesday, October 5, 2016. Born in Saint John, NB on April 28, 1929, he was a son of the late Romeo and Bertha (Bond) Lamontagne. Donald enjoyed sports as a young person, including skating, swimming, skiing and boxing. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Ordinance Corps from 1956-1959, and previous to that was in the army reserves (Artillery regiment). He was married to his dear wife, Marie Bertha for nearly 63 years and had affectionately nicknamed her "Lil". Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424). A graveside service for those who knew Donald will be held at St. Joseph’s Cemetery on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at 9:30 am. For those who wish, remembrances in Donald’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the IWK Health Centre Foundation.
