Obituary of Evelyn Gallant

It is with appreciation for a life well-lived that the family of Evelyn Gallant announces her passing, which occurred on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at Rocmaura Nursing Home. Born in Adamsville, NB on December 18, 1923, she was a daughter of the late Jerome and Beatrice (Arseneau) Arsenault. Evelyn will be missed by her children, Joan McInnis, Jerry Gallant, Kenneth Gallant (Gail), Barbara Daigle (Alphee) and Judy Allen (David); 16 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 7 great great grandchildren; a sister, Regina "Jean" Hachey; sisters-in-law, Carmen Gauvin and Therese Quinn; as well as many nieces, nephews and all those whose lives she touched throughout her lifetime. In addition to her parents, Evelyn was predeceased by her siblings, Francois, Pauline, Fernand, Noella, Yvette, Della, Gerald, Alfred and a baby brother and sister in infancy. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424) with visitation on Thursday, February 2, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, 91 Waterloo St. Saint John, on Friday, February 3, 2017 at 12:00 pm. Interment will take place at St. Joseph’s Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances made to the Cathedral Restoration Fund, St. Joseph’s Hospital Foundation, Alzheimer Society of NB or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
