Obituary of Linda Valerie Rudd

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Linda Rudd announce her passing, which occurred on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at Bobby’s Hospice with her loving family by her side. Born on February 14, 1948 in England, she was the only child of Edward A. and Pearl L. (Metcalfe) Richardson. Linda was employed with the Commissionaires before her retirement in 2012. Linda was a lover of animals, the San Jose Sharks and she would never miss an episode of Coronation Street. Despite making sure her grandsons ate their veggies, she had a mean sweet-tooth; especially for chocolate. Linda set out each day to put a smile on the faces of others by wearing her silly hats, making her known as the "crazy hat lady". Above all, she relished in the time she spent with her family and friends. Linda will be dearly missed by her surviving family, her sons: Gregory (Bobby-Joe) Richardson and Tony Pickard (Crystal Spice), her grandsons: Eric and Anthony De Santis, Steven and Liam Spice, a special daughter-in-law Rossana De Santis and two sons of the heart: Michael McKay and Karl Annand. A special "Thanks" is to be made to the Burgess and Chambers family for their love and support. And to Bobby’s Hospice, whose compassion and care was unlike any other and will not be forgotten, for their staff and volunteers made our stay with them, a bearable one. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). A memorial Service will be held from Bobby's Hospice Chapel, 385 Dufferin Row, Saint John West on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at 3 PM. In lieu of flowers, and for those who wish, remembrances may be made to Bobby’s Hospice.
