Obituary of Charles McGaghey

The death of Charlie McGaghey occurred on Sunday, May 21, 2017 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born March 6, 1946, he was a son of the late Ronald and Edna (Parlee) McGaghey. Charlie was a resident at Seely Lodge. He loved listening to country music. In his early years, he worked as a steel worker at the Saint John Dry Dock, and volunteered with Lakewood Headstart. Charlie is survived by his brothers, Beverly (Louise) and Brian (Kathy); sister, Edith Kinsella (Brian); and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Darren. Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 25, 2017 at 12 noon from Brenan’s Chapel. The family will receive visitors in the hour leading up to the service.
