Obituary of Margo Mary Hughes

It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Margo Mary Hughes on June 8, 2017, surrounded by her loving family. Born September 18, 1960, she is pre-deceased by her parents Arthur and Eileen Hughes (Colgan) and cousin Mary Jane (Colgan) MacDonald. She is survived by her husband, Derek Hogan; sister, Kathleen Foster (Mark); brothers, David Hughes and Kevin Hughes (Cindy); aunts, Frances Colgan and Mary Miller; sisters in law: Susan, Sheila, Peggy, Chris, Pat, and Daphne; several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Margo attended Holy Trinity School, Saint Peter's School and St. Vincent's High School and was a graduate of Dalhousie University. Margo and Derek resided in St. John's, Newfoundland. She will be fondly remembered for her charming, outgoing personality, her humour and wit, and for her strength of character. She enriched the lives of all who knew her. Arrangements are under the care of B renan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Saturday, July 8, 2017 from 2 to 4 PM followed by a Celebration of Life service. Interment will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
