Obituary of B. Leonard Saunders

It is with great sadness that the family of B. Leonard "Len" Saunders announces his passing, which occurred on Wednesday June 14, 2017 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Meenans Cove, NB on August 6, 1933, he was a son of the late Burton and Amelia Saunders and is the last surviving member of his immediate family. Len was a familiar face to city workers and residents as the street sweeper of Somerset Street. He was a kind man who was a social butterfly. He loved people, and was loved by all who knew him. He will be missed by his nieces and nephews: Suzanne, Lawrence, Clarence, David, Terry, Danny, Patsy, Pam and Dot; as well as many great nephews and great nieces, including Lorrie Murphy, who cared for him at home until his passing. Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424). An open house style celebration of life will be held Monday, June 19, 2017 from 12-2 pm at Brenan’s Funeral Home.
