Obituary of Leo Edward Savoy

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Leo Edward Savoy, aka "Fast Eddy", loving son of Lloyd and Kathleen Owens, announce his passing which occurred on Friday, May 12, 2017 at the Ottawa General Hospital. Eddy was born in Saint John on November 24, 1947. In addition to his parents Lloyd and Kathleen, he will be missed by his siblings: Marjorie, Mildred, Kathleen and Lloyd Jr.; his two children John and Julie, as well as several grandchildren. Eddy was predeceased by his sister Gordoniea and brother Ronald (Billy); Aunt Bertha and Uncle John as well as his grandparents, John and Mary Savoy. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). A funeral liturgy will be held on Sunday, June 25, 2017 at 2:00 PM from Brenan’s Chapel with a Royal Canadian Legion Tribute service taking place immediately prior to the liturgy. For those who wish remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or The Last Post Fund.
