Obituary of Marny Lou Alberts

The unexpected passing of Marny Alberts occurred on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born October 27, 1966 in Saint John, she was a daughter of Marion Beman-Mattinson (Douglas) and the late John Alberts. Marny was a generous and loyal woman with a big heart, especially for animals- she would even rescue moths and keep them in jars so her mother couldn’t swat them when they were in the way. She enjoyed fishing, playing ball, and going to Newfoundland with the Boys and Girls Club, and she had to have her Tim Horton’s coffee every day. She will be missed by all who had the pleasure of having her in their lives. In addition to her mother, Marion (Douglas), Marny is survived by her sister, Tracy Ganong (Robert); nieces: Ashley Alberts, Jennifer Ganong, and Emily Alberts; and her nephew, Alex Ganong. Besides her father, John, she was predeceased by her brother, Johnny Alberts. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Thursday, June 29, 2017 from 5 to 8 pm. A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 30, 2017 in Brenan’s Chapel at 10 am. Remembrances to the Canadian Cancer Society or Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
